Tawhid - the foundation of faith
Sincere worship of Allah, rejection of shirk and steadfastness upon sound belief are presented as the institution’s first intellectual foundation.
Knowledge · Character · Service since 1982

Jamia Mahmoodia was established on 16 September 1982 not as a short-lived project, but as the continuation of an intellectual, religious and formative vision. Qur’anic learning, the Sunnah, Hanafi juristic study, character formation, research, spiritual reform and service to the Ummah are treated as parts of one connected mission.
The founding vision was described in architectural language: every brick of the institution should rest on Tawhid, while its walls should be covered by the roof of the Sunnah - so that knowledge and insight may benefit society and students leave with learning, conviction and steadfastness.
The stated purpose is not simply to produce a credentialed scholar, but a Rabbani scholar - a “person of truth” whose knowledge is joined to worship, character, insight, research and responsible service.
